Welcome to Wesley! Whether you are looking for a regular place to worship in Chester city centre, are planning to visit the city, are seeking opportunities to connect with others or have found us by chance while browsing online - you are very welcome here. Wesley is a Methodist church situated in the heart of Chester City Centre. Many years ago the decision was made to make the church building accessible through the week, this opened up many new and exciting opportunities. Over the years we've done many different things but at the heart of it all has always been the calling of the Methodist Church.
We’re committed to being a diverse and inclusive community and we put this into practice through our Sunday worship and our associations with several different networks. Wesley is a registered member of Inclusive Church, a national network of individuals and churches celebrating diversity and creating truly welcoming places and communities. We are also a member of Eco Church which gives us resources to enable us to care for God’s earth in the different areas of our life and work. We are a committed Fairtrade place of worship hosting the only Fairtrade shop in Chester, and have recently become a Church of Sanctuary. |
