Bread Making

We have made the necessary but sad decision that from this morning Wednesday 18th March Wesley Church Centre will be closed until further notice, this includes church services, the cafe and fair trade shop and all activities.  Read the Minister's letter for further details.

Wednesdays and Fridays, 10.00 am - 12.45 pm
see Calendar for dates (click on 'Agenda' top left hand corner).

Twice weekly sessions where we come together to make bread to take home and share with others. All ages and abilities welcome. Suggested donation £3-£5 per bowl.

Nothing quite beats the smell and taste of handmade bread! In our community bread making sessions people of all ages and abilities share together in learning a new skill and taking home some amazing bread. We like to share what they make with neighbours, family, friends or the foodbank. We also swap ideas and try each other’s bread. There’s plenty of time in the morning to chat and to make new friends.

Bread making at Wesley is held every Wednesday and Friday morning except for some holiday closures (check the Calendar here). You need to arrive between 10.00 and 10.30am and bring a cloth bag or carrier bag to take your bread home in. All basic ingredients are supplied. The session lasts until about 1pm. We suggest a donation of between £3 and £5 to help cover costs.

No need to book, but for groups of more than 3 people, please contact us before coming. We may be able to arrange special sessions for large groups at times to suit you.
