Renewal 2010 - ambitious development of our premises
Category: Renewal 2010 fundraising
Our exciting project to develop our St John Street premises - at a cost in excess of half a million pounds - has now reached completion. We hope you will find the premises more welcoming and accessible, with improved coffee bar facilities, and more accessible city centre meeting spaces for young people and for groups of all ages.
Come and enjoy the fantastic new atrium space (where the courtyard used to be) and the brighter decor in the hall to make it more comfortable and welcoming. We have brand new toilets with improved baby change and disabled facilities, and also a lift to provide disabled access to the 1st floor.
Wesley is a popular city centre venue for those who live, work or enjoy leisure time in Chester. It already has a coffee bar, creche, play area and Fairtrade shop.
The Wesley community has so far raised nearly £250,000 for the development in just a few months. With the addition of grants and proceeds of fundraising so far, we are now only about £31,000 short of our target. Fundraising efforts will need to continue and events will be advertised on this website.

SPLAT
Category: Children & Families
SPLAT is the name the young people chose for their Sunday activities. It stands for Share, Pray, Learn and Think. There are different groups for children and young people ranging from ages 0 to 18. We begin at 10.30am with a short fun gathering time of songs and games, followed by an imaginative programme of arts/crafts, music, games, drama and more! Young people work on themed material which often feeds into the First UP event held on the second Sunday at 9.30am.

Tuesday afternoon fellowship
Category: Spirituality
"TAF" as it is affectionately called by its members meets weekly between September and June. The dozen or so regular members, both men and women, enjoy the opportunity to share a short service, listen to a range of interesting speakers and have time for a chat over tea. It is an informal group, offering friendship and support, and new people are always welcome. The meetings have finished for the summer but there will be an Afternoon Tea for the Fellowship on August 10th at Wesley. Just come along - 2.00pm in the Atrium.
Meetings start again on 14th September with a new programme for the year.
